Summer is a beautiful season but it doesn't come without certain issues. This article will highlight 8 common problems that can spoil your summer, and the tricks for dealing with them.

We at  want you to really enjoy your summer. That's why we would like to tell you how to avoid 8 unpleasant moments that summer can bring. Also, we've provided some ideas for how to treat these situations if you get into them.

1. Sweating and smelling

Sweating and the unpleasant smell of your feet and underarms can completely ruin your summer image. A good idea to avoid this is to wear socks and clothes made from natural materials, like cotton or leather. Change your clothing daily and take a shower regularly on hot days.

Another helpful trick to stop sweating is substituting your coffee with green tea.

And take some time to choose the deodorant or antiperspirant that will suit you best.

2. Razor burn

A post-shaving rash may appear if you rarely shave your body during winter especially on sensitive zones like your bikini area and armpits. To reduce redness, swelling, and itching take a few drops of lavender oil, mix it with your post-shaving lotion, and apply it on the damaged area.

Alternatively, mash a couple of strawberries and mix them with cream. Apply to the affected area for a short time and wash off with warm water.

3. Thigh skin irritation
If you like shorts or mini-skirts, walks on hot day may end with irritated skin on your thighs. To get rid of it, moisturize your skin regularly. Use creams that contain natural vitamins C and E, calendula, or cucumber extract. Take a daily shower and carefully wash all of the off soap afterwards.

Shower with lukewarm water to ease the irritation. Don't apply ice to the irritated areas because it can cause frostbite.

4. Mosquitos

Mosquitos and other bugs love to bite you, dive into your glass of wine, and annoy you with their buzzing. To keep them out of your house, you can use several tricks. Use silicone caulk or screen patches to cover your doors and windows. Buy a natural-oil based repellent that contains tea tree oil or lemon eucalyptus oil.

Citronella and cinnamon oil are known to keep mosquitos away. So burn a few drops of them near your terrace in the evening. If you have a swimming pool, clean it regularly to stop mosquitos from breeding in the water.

5. Dust
Dust that comes from open windows in the summer may be one of the causes for allergies and asthma. To keep your house clean and your body healthy, vacuum at least once a week, change and wash all bedding weekly and use dust-proof covers for your bedding.

Get control over clutter to ease the cleaning process. Groom your pets and mop the floors regularly. If you have a child with allergies, keep fluffy toys in the freezer for 48 hours before letting the child play with them. This will kill the dust mites.

6. Food poisoning

Diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting are common symptoms of food poisoning. Eating the wrong thing in summer becomes easier. People get together to grill and generally go out a lot, while the foods they are eating are easily spoiled by the heat. If your food poisoning is mild, you will just need to drink lots of water and rest.

If it stays for more than a couple of days or you see blood in your stool, contact a doctor. If the poisoning is mild, products like tomato juice, watermelon, and olives can help to ease your sickness. These products are rich in antioxidants which will help release toxins from your body.

To prevent poisoning, clean fruits and vegetables properly, eat fresh foods rather than ready-made or pre-cooked, and check the look and smell of everything you eat.

7. Dry skin

Dry skin, provoked by hot dry air, can cause itching, cracks, early wrinkles, and color changes. Working with chemicals or high temperatures can worsen the drying effect. To prevent this, take showers with moisturizing shower gel instead of regular soap.

Apply moisturizing creams and choose them according to your age. Cleanse your skin regularly and use a lotion with salicylic acid. Don't forget to apply sunscreen, wear sunglasses, and quit smoking, it stops the normal blood circulation to your skin.

Also, get a humidifier for your house and dress in natural fibers.

8. Sunburns
Sunburns usually appear on unprotected skin after a sunny day out. To avoid them, cover your body with clothing and your head with a hat. Use sunscreen every 2 hours or more often if you swim and drink enough water.

If you got burned, apply cream with camphor, aloe, or menthol and use a cold compress. If the burned area is too big or painful, contact your doctor.
