传输

诊断

实验室诊断通常基于从粪便样品或咽拭子中回收脊髓灰质炎病毒。脊髓灰质炎病毒的抗体可以是诊断性的，通常在感染过程中早期在感染患者的血液中检测到[1]。通过腰椎穿刺（“脊椎穿刺”）收集的患者脑脊液（CSF）的分析显示白细胞（主要是淋巴细胞）的数量增加和蛋白质水平轻度升高。 CSF中病毒的检测是麻痹性脊髓灰质炎的诊断，但很少发生。[1]

被动免疫

治疗

美洲于1994年宣布无脊髓灰质炎。[91]

西太平洋
2000年宣布脊髓灰质炎已在包括中国和澳大利亚在内的37个西太平洋国家正式消灭。[94] [95]

非洲

阿富汗和巴基斯坦
