嗅觉系统或嗅觉是用于嗅觉(嗅觉)的感觉系统的一部分。 大多数哺乳动物和爬行动物具有主要的嗅觉系统和辅助嗅觉系统。 主要的嗅觉系统检测空气中的物质,而辅助系统则检测流体相位刺激。

中央

临床意义

嗅觉丧失被称为嗅觉丧失。嗅觉障碍可发生在两侧或一侧。

嗅觉问题可根据其故障分为不同类型。嗅觉功能障碍可以是完全(嗅觉不全),不完全(部分嗅觉减退,嗅觉减退或微小症),扭曲(嗅觉障碍),或者可以通过像幻影症这样的自发感觉来表征。尽管嗅觉系统功能正常,但无法识别气味被称为嗅觉失认症。高碘血症是一种罕见的疾病,以嗅觉异常升高为特征。与视力和听力一样,嗅觉问题可以是双侧或单侧意义,如果一个人的鼻子右侧而不是左侧有嗅觉障碍,则是单侧右侧嗅觉缺失。另一方面,如果它位于鼻子两侧,则称为双侧嗅觉缺失或全嗅觉。

嗅觉系统的损伤可能由创伤性脑损伤,癌症,感染,吸入有毒烟雾或神经退行性疾病如帕金森病和阿尔茨海默病引起。这些情况可引起嗅觉丧失。相反,最近的发现表明嗅觉功能障碍的分子方面可以被认为是淀粉样蛋白形成相关疾病的标志,并且甚至可能通过破坏多价金属离子转运和储存存在因果关系。医生可以通过刮伤和吸气卡向患者提供气味或让患者闭上眼睛并尝试识别常见的气味,如咖啡或薄荷糖,来检测嗅觉系统的损害。在确诊嗅觉系统有永久性损伤之前,医生必须排除其他抑制或消除“嗅觉”的疾病,如慢性感冒或鼻窦炎。

嗅觉功能障碍的原因

嗅觉功能障碍的常见原因:高龄,病毒感染,接触有毒化学物质,头部创伤和神经退行性疾病。

年龄
年龄是健康成人嗅觉衰退的最强烈原因,其影响甚至比吸烟更大。嗅觉功能的年龄相关变化通常不会引起注意,并且与听力和视觉不同,嗅觉能力很少在临床上进行测试。 65岁以下的人中有2%患有慢性嗅觉问题。这在65岁到80岁之间的人中大大增加,其中大约一半人经历了严重的嗅闻问题。然后对于80岁以上的成年人,这一数字上升到近75%。与年龄相关的嗅觉功能变化的基础包括筛板的闭合,以及嗅觉受体在整个生命过程中反复的病毒和其他感染的累积损伤。

病毒感染

接触有毒化学品

头部外伤

神经退行性疾病
神经学家观察到嗅觉功能障碍是几种神经退行性疾病如阿尔茨海默病和帕金森病的主要特征。大多数这些患者在测试之前都没有意识到嗅觉缺陷,其中85%至90%的早期患者显示中央气味处理结构中的活性降低。
